October 7, 2017

Welcome to our 15 minute makeup series - a series designed for those of you who want to look amazing on Halloween but don't necessarily have hours to spend on hair and makeup.

Not to worry!!! I'm here to help!

I also have a coupon code for you to use at A Chorus Line - Dancewear and Costumes so you can get the supplies you will need for each look at a 15% discount... at the end of each look I will even total all of the supplies. Most looks are under $25!!!!

15-Minute Makeup

presents

Cute Harlequin Clown

You will need:

 - clown white (CW-1)*

 - black creme color*

 - black liner pencil*

*Screen shot this tutorial or mention our "15-minute clown" to take 15% off of your purchase of all four of these products. You MUST purchase all three items for the discount to apply.

Helpful but optional extras:

- fluffy brush for setting powder

- translucent setting powder

- dense wedge sponge for foundation application and blending contour

- medium flat brush for painting your creme color on

- dense smudge brush for smudging your eyeshadow lines

- setting spray (I highly recommend the final seal by Ben Nuy. It works great with other Ben Nuy products!)

Let's jump in...

STEP 1 -

Moisturize your face and, if you usually do or are feeling particularly fancy, prime your face with a silicone based primer. I don't use primer but, you do your thing.

STEP 2 -

Mix a bit of clown white with the foundation that you usually use to lighten it up some.

STEP 3 -

Apply your lightened foundation (or full clown white if you prefer) to your whole face and neck, avoiding your eye lids. You'll look crazy & that's totally okay!!!

You'll look crazier if you dont match you ears and neck so, make sure you blend that foundation down and cover the parts that your costume doesn't.

Contour steps...

STEP 4 -

Take your black creme shadow, suck your cheeks in, and draw a thin line (about 1/8 inch thick) in the hollow from your ear to under the center of your eye as pictured.

STEP 5 -

Soften all of those black lines by blending with a damp beauty blender or dense foam wedge.

STEP 6 -

& blend it again... just to be sure... trust me!!!

STEP 7 -

If you want to soften your contour even more you can blend it out with your normal contour shade and contour your temple and jaw.

STEP 8 -

Set all of it with a fluffy brush and some translucent setting powder.

STEP 9 -

Draw your eyebrows with your black creme shadow.

STEP 10 -

with your liner pencil, draw a thin line with black from above your pupil to the arch of your eye brow. Begin about 2 inches above your brow and draw straight down.

STEP 11 -

Draw a thin black line from the center of your cheek up to the center of your pupil.

STEP 12 - Draw black dots above and below each line with your liner pencil.

STEP 13 -

Black eye shadow. You can create a smoky eye or just darken the lid and and smudge it out some. I just smudged the creme color out into a slight winged cut crease with a q-tip.

STEP 15 -

Line your top lid. You can stop at the end of your eye or do a small wing. Don't do a large wing becasue it throws off the look of your triangle under the eye. I did a small wing.

STEP 16 -

Time for the triangles. with your black liner pencil, connect the top of the line above your eye to the inside of your eye brow.

STEP 17 -

Connect the top of the line above your eyebrow where your arch is.

STEP 18 -

Connect the inner corner of the eye to the bottom of the line under your eye.

STEP 19 -

Connect the end of your eyeliner to the bottom of the line under your eye.

STEP 20 -

Color it in with your black creme color and a brush.

STEP 21 -

Time for lips. Line the lips with your black liner pencil about 1 inch unlined on the top.

STEP 22 -

Extend the line of the bottom lip out and up about 3/4 and inch. Start small. you can always go bigger.

STEP 23 -

Draw a line attaching the end of your top lip liner to the new end of your bottom liner. Creating your harlequin smile.

STEP 24 -

Color it in with your black creme color.

STEP 25 -

Set with black setting powder (for a richer look) or translucent setting powder.

STEP 26 -

Wig Cap

STEP 27 -

Wig

STEP 28 -

I bet, you look amazing!

Practice makes perfect though so, the more times you can practice the better.
